Affiliate membership

Affiliate membership is open to anyone interested in undertaking independent examinations of charity accounts, who supports the aims of ACIE and is willing to adhere to the ACIE Code of Ethics for any independent examinations undertaken.

All members receive:

  • a regular e-newsletter which offers guidance on a wide variety of topics relevant to independent examination including changes in legislation
  • access to individual advice and networking
  • access to a range of training courses
  • access to Personal Indemnity Insurance - currently £75 per annum (but subject to change in 2017)

Affiliate members are entitled to vote at meetings of subscribing members and may stand for election to ACIE's Board of Trustees subject to the terms of its Articles of Association.

Affiliate members are NOT entitled to use any designatory letters nor are their names published in the directory of members on the website - only Full Members, who have had the quality of their IE work scrutinised by the ACIE Membership Committee, are awarded designatory letters and are listed in the directory. However, all Affiliates can apply to become Full Members, and are encouraged to do so.
